There are two types of club activities at Shinanodai Elementary. One allows fifth sixth graders to experience new things. are six of these clubs, with ranging from story making or music sports. The names and activities are by the students after some discussion. other type of club activities consists basketball or baseball clubs that the can join if they want to practice after school.

The basketball club 40 members, with girls outnumbering three to one. The club practices five a week, and during summer vacation members get together to practice for seven from morning until evening, bringing bento to see them through the day. baseball club, meanwhile, has 30 members, boys. Practice time is limited to hour after classes, so the boys practice games according to special rules especially for Shinanodai Elementary. Every day teacher in charge of the club the members, "What would you like practice today?" and the answer with most votes is what the club that day.
